Directions:

From the M6/Penrith head west on the A66 towards Keswick and Cockermouth. After passing Keswick, turn left towards Braithwaite and Whinlatter Pass to Lorton (6 miles). Go past the Forestry Commission visitors centre and take the next left signposted to Scales and C2C route.

From West Cumbria take the A66 to Cockermouth then the B5292 to High Lorton. At the village hall (Boonbeck) follow signs for scales.

We are very fortunate to be surrounded by natures finest,from daffodils that inspired poets to the abundance of wildlife that can be found including ospreys, barn and tawny owls,woodpeckers,finches,red squirrels,red deer,roe deer all can be seen either from or just a few minutes from our caravans

We are only 20 minutes away from the market town of Keswick or cockermouth, both which have an abundance of shops and restaurants to discover
