Welcome to Lorton Caravans & Fishing Ponds

Both are situated in an idyllic setting at Scales Farm (just off the C2C cycle route), enjoying an elevated and tranquil position above the sleepy village of Lorton, in one of the more secluded parts of the Lake District.

Scales Farm, a dairy farm run by the Shield family, originally stocked the ponds with Rainbow Trout as a hobby. In 2006 by way of farm diversification, the ponds were opened so everyone could enjoy the peace and tranquillity of fishing in one of the most beautiful parts of the Lake District. Then in 2007, with so many people who came fishing saying what a beautiful place it would be to stay, two static caravans were bought for holiday let.

Both are two bedroom, six berth units (see Gallery) in excellent condition. They are set in a stunning location close to the fishing ponds. Both have Gas, Electric and Water which is supplied by our own spring on the farm. Please contact us for further information and availability....

Lorton Village is a charming country village within walking distance of the ponds. An excellent local pub, shop and tennis courts are only a short walk away....
